Campsite Booking System wasn't dreamed up in a software office — it grew, one real site at a time. It started when a local council asked us to build an online booking site for a motorhome stopover. It worked beautifully, and word got round. Before long Bill's cousin, who runs a campsite and was tired of handing Pitchup a fee on every single booking, asked whether the same thing could work for him. We adapted it. Then a friend with a small campsite of her own asked for the same. By the third site it was obvious we'd built something every independent campsite needed — and Campsite Booking System was born.

That demand-led path is exactly why it works the way it does. Every feature in here exists because a real site owner needed it — not because a product manager thought it might sell. We're a Cumbrian web firm; we build for the people who run these places and we listen to what they actually struggle with. (We don't run a campsite ourselves — we build for the ones who do, and we run a full working demo so you can try it for yourself.)

Campsite Booking System runs in the cloud, so your availability, pricing and bookings all live in one place — and every booking is commission-free. Getting started has two simple parts. First, sign up free and set up your booking account: describe your site to our AI assistant and it builds your pitch types, prices, seasons and guest content for you, or do it yourself in the dashboard. Second, put the booking flow on your own website: install our lightweight WordPress connector plugin, connect WooCommerce and your payment gateway (such as Stripe), and use shortcodes to place booking forms, pitches and categories wherever you want them. Happy in WordPress, or have a web designer? It's a quick job — and if you'd rather not, we'll do the whole website side for you as a paid add-on. Once it's live, a guest picks the kind of stay they want, chooses their dates, sees live availability for your real pitches, adds the extras you offer, and pays through your own checkout — so the money is yours from the start. The booking lands in your diary instantly, the pitch is held so nobody can double-book it, and your guest gets a confirmation automatically. When they arrive, your warden can see exactly who's coming and going from a phone. It handles every kind of stay a modern site offers — grass tent pitches, hardstanding touring pitches with electric hook-up, motorhome bays, glamping pods, bell tents, shepherd's huts, self-catering cottages, even individual bunkhouse beds — all priced the way you actually price them, by season, with the add-ons you actually sell. And because it's your system, you keep everything that matters: the guest's details, the booking data, the relationship, and above all the money. There's no per-booking commission, ever.

Guests can take the whole experience with them in the campsite guest app for iPhone, Android and the web — managing their own booking, extending a stay, finding things to do nearby and receiving your latest offers long after they’ve left.

Never miss an after-hours arrival. Our self-service check-in kiosk lets guests check themselves in at any hour, with no staff on the gate. They scan the QR code from their booking email, guest app or portal, and a warm, personalised voice greeting welcomes them by name and points them to their pitch. Perfect for unattended and late arrivals — and it works hand-in-hand with the guest app.

We've built more than 200 websites, we've held ISO 9001, 27001 and 42001 certifications, and we build our own WordPress plugins rather than reselling someone else's.
